Freeze Out with Carolina Heating

Carolina Heating Services established a partnership with KOOLFLIX™ at the end of 2014. With two highly successful commercials produced for their sister company Carolina Generators, Carolina Heating Services wanted to move forward with a two-part campaign.

This series of spots would promote the Carolina Heating & Air Comfort Club, but with a less tradional approach. The concept was to establish the importance of being prepared for the extreme temperatures by having HVAC systems maintained on a routine schedule, but with a humorous twist.

KOOLFLIX™ brought in makeup artist Kendra Bryant to help create the illusion of an unfortunate family frozen solid and stuck in their home with no heat. Established actor Jeff Sumerel played the frozen dad with thespian-in training Kimberley Loper playing the pig-hatted mom.

KOOLFLIX™ created this series of spots using a Canon DSLR in order to gain the depth of field desired in establishing the cold and harsh home environment.

The final spot also incorporated video of Carolina Heating & Air technicians performing the needed maintenace in order for heating systems to perform at their peak.

The second spot in this series featured the same family suffering through a summer with no A/C. Stay tuned for its regional debut!
